Nice hotel. It's a little worn out, but other than that, the bed was nicely made, the towels were clean, the room was clean as well, and the customer service was amazing. Coffee could be a little bit stronger at breakfast, but everything was clean and nicely set up. Good location off the side of the freeway next to a store and a few places to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything about the hotel itself is great! The price is affordable. The breakfast is good. The room is clean, cool, and comfortable. The only complaint we had about our stay was that the other guests were allowing their children to run up and down the hall well after midnight. It wasn’t a restful night our first night.

My room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, waffles, and other items. There are very few hotels to choose from in Mathis. This hotel is by far the best. Top-notch reception and kitchen staff. My only complaint is that the price seemed a little high for this small town.

This used to be La Quinta but is now Mathis Deluxe Hospitality. Same nice rooms just no signs on the building. Driving up to it we didn’t see any vehicles and were suspect about going in thinking it was closed down or vacant. But rooms are nice and it’s very quiet and alittle scary.

Staff is so great!! Everyone was very polite and kind. Rooms were nice and the water was hot so what else do you need? Good breakfast with lots of choices as well. Cannot say enough about the staff though. Old fashioned manners and kindness in today's world is hard to find. The night check in person was fantastic and all the staff then next morning as well. Highly recommended if you're staying anywhere near Corpus. Thank you again!!

We stayed at the wonderful La Quinta in Mathis this weekend for our family reunion. We Were impressed by the size, and quality of the rooms. We did receive a group discounted rate which was nice. Initially, checking in was as slow as molasses. However, the person upfront was new and he was working hard to help us. The suite was nice and big; as well as, the restroom. Plus, it had a fan in it; that is a definite plus. They were running low on towels and we had to pick them up, no big deal. The elevator had a strange odor and was running behind the entire trip, probably exhausted. The pool was closed, which was a bummer, because, the family usually hangs by the pool for the family reunion. All in all, the hotel stay was great. 4 out of 5 mustaches.

Stayed here this past weekend and I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff is. The breakfast is awesome! My only complaint is that my room key lock mechanism thing was messed up. I would have to put my card in multiple times before I could get in the room. The beds are a little stiff and the rooms are a bit dated but it was a pleasant stay and I would come back again whenever I am in the area.
